Limerick Deaths: Thursday, December 7, 2023

The death has occurred of Charlie Hannon of Sean Heuston Place, Limerick City on December 6, peacefully, at St Paul's Nursing Home, Dooradoyle.

Very deeply regretted by his brother Christy, sister Marie and Pauline, sister-in-law Frances, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Reposing at Cross's Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, on Monday, December 11, from 3.30pm to 5.00pm.

Funeral will arrive on Tuesday, December 12, at St. John's Cathedral, for 11am Requiem Mass, followed by Cremation Service in Shannon Crematorium at 1pm.

The death has occurred of Michael Harrison of Clontubrid, Freshford, Kilkenny / Errill, Laois / Kilfinane, Limerick.

Michael passed away peacefully, after illness bravely borne with dignity and great humour. 

Predeceased by his wife Cathy. 

Sadly mourned by his loving partner Edwina and all her family, his daughters Claire and Kathy, son John, son-in-law Ian, daughter in law Thipyartat, grandson Jack, brothers Robert and Stephen, sister Claire, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Gathering of friends and acquaintances at the home of his partner Edwina Farrell, Clontubrid, Freshford, Co Kilkenny R95HP49 on Friday, December 8 from 4.00pm to 8.00pm.

A celebration of Michael's life will take place in Holy Trinity Church, Durrow, on Saturday December 9 at 9.30am, followed by removal to Newlands Cross Crematorium, Dublin, for a further celebration service at 1.00pm followed by cremation.

The death has occurred of Bernadette KEOGH (née Sweeney) of Lynwood Park, Ballysimon, Limerick and formerly of Marion Avenue, Janesboro, Limerick.

Bernie passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in Milford Care Centre, on December 7.

Pre-deceased by her husband Jim.

Sadly missed by her loving daughters Caroline, Fiona & Audrey, sons Ivan & Patrick her 17 adored grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, sisters Gloria & Veronica, sons-in-law daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, kind neighbours and friends. 

Arriving at St. John’s Cathedral on Monday, 11th December, for Requiem Mass at 12 noon.

Funeral afterwards to Shannon Crematorium.

The death has occurred of William O'Connor of Clarina Avenue, Ballinacurra Weston, Limerick and Ex 12th Infantry Battalion Sarsfield Barracks.

William passed away peacefully on December 7 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Very deeply regretted by his loving wife Dolores, daughter Susan, son Kenneth, son-in-law James, daughter-in-law Tara, grandchildren Emily, Heather and Eoin, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, other relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Cross's Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, on Saturday, December 9, from 2pm to 4pm.

Funeral will arrive at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Childers Road, on Sunday, December 10, for Requiem Mass at 1pm, followed by private Cremation.

House private, please.

No flowers please.
