The death has occurred of Paul McGrath

Of Elm Place, Rathbane. Late of De Valera Park, Thomondgate and Regeneron, Raheen.

Predeceased by his father Gerry.

Very deeply regretted by his loving mother Martha, son Cian and his mother Stacey, brothers Thomas, Damien, Alan, Jason and Laurence, sisters Avril, Joeleen and Lorna, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, other relatives and friends.

May he rest in peace

Reposing at Cross's Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, on Wednesday, November 15, from 4.30pm to 6pm.

Funeral will arrive at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Roxboro Road, on Thursday, November 16, for 11am requiem Mass, funeral afterwards to Mount St. Lawrence (extension) Cemetery.

Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to Pieta House.

The death has occurred of Thomas McGreevy

Of Raheen and Four-Mile-House, Roscommon

On November 13, 2023, peacefully in the attentive care of St Paul’s Nursing Home, Dooradoyle, Limerick. Predeceased by his brother Michael John. Thomas will be sadly missed by his sister Maura, sister-in-law Josie, nephews Michael and Dominic, and their spouses Freda and Mary, grandnephews, grandniece, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Reposing at St Nessan’s Church (V94 DE98), Raheen, on Wednesday, November 15 from 4.30pm to 6pm. Requiem Mass will take place on Thursday, November 16 at 11am followed by interment in Kilcooley Cemetery, Tulsk, Co Roscommon with funeral arriving at approximately 3pm.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of University Hospital Limerick and St Paul’s Nursing Home for the excellent care given to Thomas during his time with them.

Of Rosemount, Rathkeale

Peacefully in his family home surrounded by his loving family. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Evelyn, son Maurice, daughters Eva, Kathleen and Mary, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, brothers and extended family.

Reposing at Magner's Funeral Home, Rathkeale on Tuesday evening from 6pm to 7:30pm. Funeral arriving at St. Mary's Church Rathkeale on Wednesday for requiem Mass at 12noon. Burial afterwards in Cappagh cemetery.

The death has occurred of Bernadette O'Donnell (née Ryan)

Of O'Callaghan Strand. 

It is with great sadness we announce the death of Bernadette of O’Callaghan Strand, formerly William Street.

Aged 82, she died peacefully at the Galway Clinic on November 12, 2023, surrounded by family.

Pre-deceased by parents Jack and Doody Ryan and her two daughters Deirdre and Fiona. She will be sadly missed by her sons Hugh, Rory and Seamus; former husband Jim; daughters-in-law Finola and Bridget; son-in-law Liam; and grandchildren William, Vivyan, Shane, Aoife, Cian, Patrick, Fionn and Tadhg; brothers Paddy and Tony; and sisters-in-law Kay and Denise. She will be fondly remembered by her family, nieces, nephews, neighbours and a very wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Griffin’s Funeral Home, John’s Gate, Pennywell, Limerick, V94 Y2W4 on Tuesday, November 14, from 4pm to 6pm. Bernadette’s funeral will arrive at St. John's Cathedral on Wednesday, November 15, for requiem Mass at 12noon, which can be viewed at https://www.limerickcathedral.com/live-stream/, followed by burial at Mount Saint Lawrence Ext. Cemetery.

Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to Breast Cancer Ireland.

Of Raglan Lodge, Athea

Died peacefully at University Hospital Limerick on Monday, November 13, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her brother Maurice and sister Nuala, Ann is very deeply regretted by her loving husband Tom, daughters Jean (Flynn) and Elaine, sons Gary and Kevin, sister Gertie (Mulcaire), sons-in-law Alan and Mike, daughters-in-law Catherine and Fiona, grandchildren Lucy, Tom, Anna, Cormac, Darragh, Sarah, Emma and Maeve, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at her home, Raglan Lodge, Athea, V94 V3HK on Tuesday, November 14 and on Wednesday, November 15 from 4pm until 7pm. Please park in Athea Village. Removal on Thursday, November 16 to St. Bartholomew’s Church, Athea to arrive for requiem Mass at 12noon. Requiem Mass will be live streamed on www.churchservices.tv/athea. Burial afterwards in Holy Cross Cemetery, Athea. Family flowers only please.

The death has occurred of Ita Reidy (latterly known as Telemaque)

Living in Bradford, England for most of her life. We said farewell to our Mum who died November 5, 2023 aged 86. Mum to Ada, Carrie (deceased), Eddie (deceased) and Christopher. Aunt to many still living in Limerick, Cork and Dublin as well as England.

She is survived by her last brother Paddy Reidy of Cork and her funeral will take place in Bradford on Friday, November 17, 2023.

May she rest in peace and rise in glory.

The death has occurred of Eileen Tobin (née Bond)

Of Shanagolden

Eileen passed away on November 11 in her 94th year in the exceptional care of the doctors, nurses, and staff of University Hospital Limerick (UHL).

Predeceased by her beloved husband Michael, son Laurence, brothers John, Jimmy, Mick, Paddy, Frank, Tom, Willie and sisters Bridie, Betty, Sarah, Maura.

Deeply regretted by her daughters Eileen and Mary Ann, adored grandchildren Laurence, Heather and Mark, great grandchildren Katie, Jake, and Isabel. Sadly, missed by her sister Cissy (Kozak), sister-in-law Margaret (Bond), nieces, nephews, her wonderful neighbours and friends.

Eileen’s family extend heartfelt gratitude to all at UHL who treated Eileen and her family with great care and gentleness.

May Eileen rest in peace
