Man arrested following burglary at home in Limerick city

The man was arrested by gardai from Henry Street

GARDAI in Limerick have arrested a man following a burglary at a house on the south side of the city earlier this week.

Shortly before 7.30pm on Thursday gardai at Henry Street received a report of a break-in which had occurred on South Circular Road.

A description of the suspect was circulated to gardaoi who were patrolling the area and a man in his 30s was arrested a short time later.

He is currently detained at Henry Street garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
