TENSIONS are high in the West Limerick town of Abbeyfeale, as a feud between two families threatens to boil over.
The feud, which is believed to be between two families in the Abbeyfeale and Listowel area, has been fuelled by a number of videos which are circulating on social media.
Gardai, supported by armed support units, were seen patrolling Abbeyfeale on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
A large funeral took place in the town while the armed support units were seen in the area.
A spokesperson for the garda síochána there is a garda operation on going in Abbeyfeale, but said no other details were available at this time.
