Gardaí and emergency services respond to spate of violent incidents in Limerick town

Both a car and caravan were on fire in Rathkeale on Sunday evening

GARDAÍ are investigating a spate of violent incidents in Rathkeale. 

Gardaí have confirmed that they are investigating an aggravated burglary at a domestic residence in Rathkeale at around 8pm on Sunday evening, February 8.

Meanwhile, three units of the fire brigade responded to an emergency call in Rathkeale at around the same time. 

A car and a caravan were both on fire. 

Two units of the fire brigade from Newcastle West and one unit from Rathkeale were on the scene for almost two hours battling the blazes. 

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána confirmed to Limerick Live that “investigations are ongoing".
