The haul is made up of cannabis (€198,000), cocaine (€10,500), Xanax tablets (€79,252) and amphetamines (€4,350)

UPDATE: Woman arrested over major drugs seizure on Limerick-Cork border

GARDAI have issued an update this Sunday afternoon on the seizure of €310,600 of suspected illegal drugs during searches in Bruree and Charleville on Friday evening.

A garda spokesperson said they continue to investigate the sale and supply of drugs in the Southern region.

“The woman, aged in her 30s, arrested has since been released without charge. A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions,” said the garda spokesperson.

The man, aged in his 40s, continues to be detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at a garda station in County Limerick.

“Investigations are ongoing,” said the garda spokesperson.
