GARDAÍ are investigating a burglary in Limerick where balaclava-clad perpetrators fled the scene once disturbed in a built-up housing estate.

On the night of Friday, January 3, after 2am, two burglars forced entry into a residence in Cherry Drive, Glencairin, Dooradoyle, by breaking the lock on the front door.

“The homeowner of the property disturbed the intruders, where they fled the house,” said Sgt Michelle O’Halloran of Henry St garda station.

“They are described as dressed in all black, wearing balaclavas.”
