Man due in court over fatal Limerick shooting in 2007 as gardaí give update
A man is due in court on Saturday afternoon charged in relation to a shooting in Limerick 17 years ago.
Noel Campion was shot dead on April 26, 2007, when he was ambushed when riding as a passenger on a motorcycle in the Thomondgate area.
Gardaí issued the update on Saturday, November 16: "Gardaí investigating the fatal shooting of a man (30s) at Thomondgate, Limerick city on 26th April 2007 arrested a man (40s) yesterday, Friday 15th November 2024.
"The man has since been charged in connection with the investigation.

"He is due to appear before a special sitting of Limerick District Court today, Saturday 16th November 2024 at 12.30pm."
