ALL-IRELAND winning Limerick hurler Gearóid Hegarty has launched Milford Care Centre’s annual 10km event.
The 10km Run/Walk Fundraiser will take place on Sunday, February 22 starting at 12pm on the University of Limerick campus in Castletroy.
Now in its 14th year, this key fundraising event brings the community together to support the work Milford Care Centre delivers across the Mid-West.
Limerick hurler Gearóid Hegarty said: “I’m proud to support and raise awareness for the incredible work Milford Care Centre does for our community.”

“The services they provide are critical and deliver tremendous benefit to communities throughout the Mid-West. I encourage everyone to get involved and help Milford raise the funds they need to continue providing compassionate care.”
This inclusive event, supported by DELL Technologies and Stryker, welcomes runners and walkers of all fitness levels. Mary O’Brien, CEO of Milford Care Centre added: “Your involvement and generosity are vital in helping us raise the funds needed to sustain Milford Care Centre’s services. Thanks to your support, we can continue delivering specialist palliative care and older persons’ services throughout the Mid-West.”

Register before Sunday, February 8 to receive the early bird rate of €20, registration is €25 thereafter. Participants can register at www.milfordcarecentre.ie.
