Mayor of Limerick, John Moran emphasises the importance of "equal opportunities for all in Limerick", and organisations such as Limerick Youth Service will benefit from this funding
Fifty-five organisations working in communities across Limerick City will benefit from €1.68 million in funding from the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage under the Economic and Social Intervention Fund (ESIF).
97 different projects through these organisations are to receive financial support through this fund, which is a key instrument of the Limerick Regeneration Programme.
A further 17 projects are under review, as further information was required to make a final decision.
ESIF-funded projects work in and with communities to support quality of life and pride of place through the delivery of a range of services and supports.
The ESIF has been an invaluable anchor of social and economic regeneration throughout the Regeneration Programme.

Equal opportunities for all in Limerick are a priority, as outlined in the More for Limerick Mayoral Programme. We want to continue to drive meaningful progress and action in key areas such as employment, education, and community safety. I thank our colleagues in the Department and within the Regeneration team in Limerick City and County Council for making this happen.”
