Just two Limerick wins on dramatic day of regular season All-Ireland League action

Line-out action from UL-Bohemian's All-Ireland League Division 2B meeting with Clogher Valley at Annacotty on Saturday

THERE were two Limerick wins, recorded by Shannon in Division 1B and UL-Bohemian in Division 2B, on a dramatic day of energia All-Ireland League action.

In Division 1A, Young Munster's outside play-off hopes were dented further when the Clifford Park side suffered a 28-15 defeat to Ballynahinch at Ballymacarn Park.

The result leaves Young Munster in seventh place in the Division 1A table, a full 12 points off the top four play-off places.

Also in Division 1A, relegation-threatened Garryowen shipped nine tries in a 64-22 thumping at the hands of St Mary's College at Dooradoyle.

The results leaves the bottom-placed 'Light Blues' side needing something of a miracle if they are to retain their top flight status for next season with now just three series of regular season games to go.

Garryowen trail UCD, who occupy the relegation play-off position in the table by 14 points. The Limerick side cannot now finish ahead of eighth-placed City of Armagh.

Meanwhile, in Division 1B, bottom side Shannon secured a much-needed 20-10 Munster derby victory over UCC on the back pitch at Thomond Park.

Despite the victory, Shannon are propping up the 1B table, four points off ninth-placed Highfield, who occupy the relegation play-off position and eight points behind eighth-placed Dublin University.

In the Division 2A action, Old Crescent had to make-do with taking a losing bonus point from their 17-22 home defeat to Galway Corinthians at Takumi Park.

Crescent sit in seventh place in the 1B table with three series of games to come.

The Division 2B action saw UL-Bohemian pick up a bonus point in their 27-21 victory over Clogher Valley at Annacotty.

The Red, Red Robins are in sixth place in the league table, just four points off fourth-placed Rainey and within two points of fifth-placed Galwegians with three games to go in the race to secure promotion play-off places.

In Division 2C, Bruff picked up two bonus points in their high-scoring 32-34 defeat to Ballyclare at Kilballyowen Park.

Bruff currently sit in eighth place in the table, eight points clear of basement side Tullamore and six points ahead of ninth-placed Omagh Academicals.
