SUPPORTERS turned out to get behind Shannon and Nenagh in the seventh round of AIL rugby action over the weekend.
In Division 1B, Shannon suffered a heavy 15-42 defeat at home to high-flying Nenagh Ormond on the main pitch at Thomond Park. The second-placed Tipperary side, who led 13-3 at half-time, notched five tries in all, including a brace for Patrick Scully, while Conor McMahon, Craig Hannon and Charlie O’Doherty also dotted down. Shannon, who are level on points with ninth-placed Queens, managed tries through Eoghan Clarke and Stephen Kiely.
