THERE were four Limerick wins in the energia All-Ireland League on Saturday following on from a disappointing round of fixtures for local clubs the previous weekend.

In Division 1A, Young Munster got back to winning ways when recording a precious 36-21 bonus point win over Lansdowne at Tom Clifford Park. Ger Slattery's side are now up to fifth place in the top flight table, one point behind fourth-placed Terenure.

Munsters, who ran in five tries, led 26-7 at half-time to gain total control of this contest. The tries came from Manuel Convella, Jake O’Riordan, Christian Foley, Hubert Gilvarry and Stephen McLoughlin. Julian Leszczynski kicked four conversions and a penalty.

Also in Division 1A, Garryowen came away-empty handed from their long trip to Ballynahinch after suffering a disappointing 33-7 reverse to the Ulster side.

The result sees the Light Blues, who have won just one of their opening five league fixtures, sitting in ninth place in the table.

Jack Daly scored the visitors try, while Dylan Hicks converted.

In Division 1B, Shannon returned to winning ways after picking up a precious 20-15 victory over Dublin University on the back pitch at Thomond Park.

The victory, Shannon's second of the AIL season, has seen the Parish side move up to seventh place in Division 1B.

Shannon, who trailed 10-3 at the interval, had tries from Oisin Minogue and Alex Lane. John O’Sullivan converted both and also added two penalties.

In Division 2A, clinical Old Crescent made home advantage count as they secured a comprehensive 43-12 bonus point victory over struggling Buccaneers at Takumi Park.

Joe McEnery, Jake Considine, John Moloney, Niall Hardiman, Brian Molloy, Jamie Duggan and Werner Hoffman were the Crescent try scorers. John Hurley converted four of the tries.

Crescent are sixth in the table, eight points off fourth spot, following two wins and a draw from their opening five games.

UL-Bohemian also recorded a precious win, this time in Division 2B, after edging past leaders Wanderers 26-24 at ULs North Campus.

Killian Dineen, Sean Quirke, Cian Regan and Paul Clancy were the UL-Bohs try scorers. Oisin Fagan converted three of the tries for the Limerick side who moved back into the promotion play-off places.

The Red, Red Robins, who have won three of their opening five AIL games, sit in fourth place in the league table.

There was no joy for Bruff in Division 2C, however, as the Kilballyowen Park side lost out 35-19 to Enniscorthy.

The South Limerick side who have yet to win a league game this season, have slipped to bottom place in the table as a result of their latest defeat.

Kieran O’Dwyer scored Bruff’s try which John Bateman converted. Paul Collins kicked four penalties.

The AIL action takes a break next weekend before resuming on Saturday, November 9.

In the energia All-Ireland League Women's Division, UL-Bohemian secured an emphatic 94-0 victory over Cooke at Shaw’s Bridge.

Winger Chisom Ugwueru scored a stunning six tries for the Annacotty side. The Annacotty side scored 15 tries in all as Alana McInerney grabbed a brace, while Lucia Linn, Kate Flannery, Beth Buttimer, Claire Bennett, Clodagh O’Halloran, Chloe Pearse, Catriona Finn and Laoise McGonagle also dotted down. Flannery kicked five conversions, while Finn added two.
