Newcastle West and Thomond are in All-Ireland Junior Cup action this Saturday

TWO Limerick clubs begin their Energia Men’s All-Ireland Junior Cup campaigns today, Saturday.

Newcastle West travel to Dublin to face Suttonions while Thomond face Dromore at home in Liam Fitzgerald Park. Both games kick-off at 2.30pm.

There are four Munster teams taking part this year.

Kilfeacle & District will make the long trip up north to take on Cooke.

Mallow will meet Bective Rangers at home.

Kilfeacle & District were the most recent Munster team to win the cup as they overcame Dromore in 2020.

Last season’s champions Ballyclare have followed in the footsteps of several previous winners, by sealing promotion to the Energia All-Ireland League but there are three previous cup holders in the mix.
