Holders UL-Bohemian open All-Ireland League campaign with victory over Blackrock

HOLDERS UL-Bohemian got their All-Ireland League Women's Division campaign off to an impressive start when the Red, Red Robins scored an impressive 31-15 bonus point victory over Blackrock College at Stradbrook.

Fiona Hayes' UL-Bohs side scored five tries in all with Beth Buttimer claiming a brace, while Claire Bennett, Clodagh O’Halloran and Saoirse Crowe also dotted down for the winners.

Out-half Kate Flannery converted three of the tries.

Next up for UL-Bohs is a home date with Railway Union at ULs North Campus on saturday next, October 5. The round two game has a 5pm kick-off time.
