LIMERICK Camogie has announced this Thursday that Joe Quaid has informed the County Board that he will not be seeking reappointment as Manager of the Limerick Senior Camogie Team for the 2026 season.

In his communication with the Chairperson of Limerick Camogie, two time All-Star winning goalkeeper Joe Quaid paid tribute to his management and backroom team, commending their commitment and dedication throughout his tenure. He also expressed his gratitude to the County Board for their support.

This was Joe Quaid's second stint in charge of the Limerick side.

In a statement issued this Thursday, Limerick Camogie said that during his two years in charge, 'Joe (Quaid) introduced many new players to the senior setup and, together with his management team, worked tirelessly to nurture and develop emerging talent.'

The Limerick Camogie County Board has extended its 'sincere thanks to Quaid and his management team for their service and commitment to Limerick Camogie over the past two years. Their efforts have laid valuable foundations as we continue our ambition to bring Limerick to the forefront of camogie.'

Limerick Camogie thanked Joe Quaid sincerely for his contribution and wished him the very best in his future endeavours.

The process to seek, and appoint, a new Senior Team Manager will now begin.
