TIPPERARY hit the ground running early on in Mick Neville Park when Grace O'Brien rattled the ball into the sliotar of the net after 50 seconds. On 3 minutes, Tipp raised their second green flag of the day from an Eimear McGrath penalty. Eimear McGrath added two more points to have the Premier County leading 2-02 to 0-00 after seven minutes.

Karen Kennedy landed a long range score to push Tipperary nine points ahead. On 12 minutes Caoimhe Costello registered Limerick's first score through a placed ball.

The victors were putting huge pressure on Limerick and the home side were struggling to work the ball out from defence which ultimately led to Tipperary controlling the game.

Denis Kelly's side registered 3-06 to Limerick's 0-2 for the remainder of the first half with the lively Grace O'Brien off the mark on two occasions and McGrath added another goal. McGrath and O'Brien caused Limerick huge issues scoring 5-06 between them in the openig period.

The Treaty County struggled for scores in the first half where they only managed to score one point from play courtesy of Niamh Ryan on 28 minutes from a difficult angle. Last years All-Ireland semi-finalist's led 5-09 to 0-3 at the break.

Joe Quaid's side kept battling away in the second half but ultimately Limerick left themselves with too much to do and couldn't match their opponents intensity or scoring power. Tipperary didn't show any sign of taking their foot off the foot the gas in the second half.

Tipp outscored Limerick 2-09 to 0-3 in the second half with Casey Hennessy and Grace O'Brien for the fourth time of the day hitting the net as Tipperary cruised to a 33 point victory which never looked in doubt at any stage.

Limerick will be looking for an improvement in their attack with only one of their points coming from play throughout the 60 minutes.

The Shannonsiders face Antrim next Saturday on June 28 at 4pm in Mick Neville Park. Both sides have failed to win a game in the All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship and both sides will be looking to retain their senior status next weekend.
