No more fuel at the pumps of closed Limerick service station

Apart from fuel and groceries, another big draw to to the Dock Road premises was one of the few coin-operated laundrettes in the city centre.
A busy service station has closed in Limerick city with giant hoarding erected around it.
There will be no more fuels in the pumps at Circle K’s Dock Road Service Station which closed last week.
It is not known how many jobs have been lost in the filling station and shop.
Circle K issued a statement to Limerick Live following a media query. “Following a comprehensive review of operations at Circle K’s Dock Road Service Station, the decision was taken to cease trading at this location, and the premises has now closed,” it reads.
“Circle K will continue to serve customers in the area through our nearby stores located across Limerick city,” concludes the brief statement.

Apart from fuel and groceries, another big draw to that location was one of the few coin-operated laundrettes in the city centre. One of the local residents contacted Limerick Live to say the closed filling station is a big loss to the local area.
“There are a lot of apartments in the vicinity of it. I'd know that a lot of my neighbours would have used the laundrette. It was very handy when you had big loads to wash. The shop was very handy too when you needed a few bits.
“I hope something goes in there soon as the hoarding is very ugly,” they said.
Circle K, according to its website, is Ireland’s leading forecourt and convenience retailer with 420 sites across the island of Ireland.
