Irish Rail says train tickets between Limerick and Dublin for Saturday, July 8 have sold out
EXTRA train services which have put on by Irish Rail for Limerick's All-Ireland semi-final clash against Galway sold out within minutes of only going on sale.
There has been huge demand for public transport from Limerick supporters and fans who will be travelling to the Croke Park for the match which takes place on Saturday, July 8.
Extra services from Colbert Station include a train departing at 12:10pm on the day of the match with a special return service departing Heuston Station in Dublin at 9.40pm.
Irish Rail has confirmed the return train (9.40pm) has already sold out while there are limited tickets available for the midday service.
Tickets for all regular trains - between 7:30am and 3pm - had sold out before match tickets for the semi-final even went on sale via Ticketmaster and selected retailers.
It is estimated that between 50,000 to 60,000 people will travel to Dublin for the match Saturday week.
Limerick are on the hunt for a place in their fourth consecutive All-Ireland final but will have to beat hardy Galway for a place.
The second semi-final, between Kilkenny and Clare, takes place on Sunday, July 9 while the All-Ireland final is slated for Sunday, July 23.
