Motorists have been asked only to drive if absolutely necessary and if they have to get behind the wheel to be extremely careful and drive slowly.

A joint statement from Limerick City and County Council, the HSE, An Garda Síochána and the Defence Forces has urged motorists to exercise “extreme caution on all Limerick roads” this Friday after Storm Emma.
