The incident took place on Mallow Street in Limerick city, near the entrance to People's Park
THE BODY of a woman was discovered in Limerick city this Thursday afternoon.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene just outside the main entrance to People's Park in Limerick city at approximately 1:30pm this Thursday, December 19.
A woman in her 30s was discovered deceased at the scene.
Emergency services cordoned off the area on Mallow Street which included a section of footpath and the public toilets.

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána confirmed that "Gardaí and emergency services responded to an incident on Mallow Street at approximately 1.30pm on Thursday afternoon, 19th December 2024.
"A woman (aged in her 30s) was discovered deceased. Her body has been removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Limerick, where a post-mortem will take place in due course.
"Investigations are ongoing."
