Kilmallock AC's Tony McMahon, who enjoyed a successful day at the Munster Masters Cross Country at Two-Mile-Borris
Munster Masters and Even Age Juvenile Relays
TAKING place in Two-Mile-Borris in Co Tipperary there was some premier results for Limerick Athletes at the Munster Masters and Even Age Juvenile Relays on Sunday last.
Highlight of the Juvenile Relays was a Gold medal by the Limerick AC U12 Girls as Rachael Ryan, Crea Moore, Zara Coman and Gabriella O'Neill helped Limerick AC to first place in a time of 6:02.
Their closest challengers were actually from their own club as Limerick AC ‘B’ were second, seven seconds behind and they featured Lori McPhail, Alison Ryan, Aoife Halley and Rose O'Neill (twin of Gabi O’Neill).
From a field of 14, including many of the province's best clubs, this was a great achievement.
Other good results included the Limerick AC U10 Girls who were sixth with the Limerick AC U10 Boys fourth. Well done to the West Limerick quartet of Clara Galvin, Fiadh Quaid, Heidi Donnelly and Maisie Stokes who ran 500m each and finished 10th in the Girls U10 race.
Dooneen U14 Girls were fourth with Limerick AC sixth. Limerick AC were fifth in the U16 Mixed Relay.
In the Masters, West Limerick’s Karl Lenihan rang strongly as always to finish 1 st M45 and fifth overall. Sean Quirke 11th, Derek Kiely 14th and Aaron Gallagher 32nd helped Limerick to 62pts and the County Bronze Medal.
Further scoring from Sean Walsh 42nd and Damien Tracey 50th yielded Limerick AC the Masters Club Silver Medal.
Cappamore native Dymphna Ryan took the outright Women’s title, victorious by more than a minute.
In the Masters, 65+ Tony McMahon rounded off a superb year with by taking the M65 Silver Medal. The veteran Kilmallock athlete also took Gold Medals in the Munster Half Marathon Championship, the Limerick Masters Cross Country and County four-Mile road race.
He also finished sixth in the National Half Marathon Championship in Kilmallock in September, Well done Tony!
Parkrun
Killian and Aaron Lynch were first and second in the Preston Park Brighton Parkrun in times of 16:17 and 16:27 ‘very respectively’!
Well done to all the Country Club Couch to 5K runners who completed their training programme by doing Mungret Parkrun!

Stephen Aherne, of Dooneen, was fastest finisher of the two surviving Limerick Parkruns (Newcastle West fell victim of Storm Bert), clocking 18:24 at UL.

Limerick AC accepted a sponsorship deal with Burgerland, the first club on the Island of Ireland to be sponsored.
Fixtures
The 123.ie National Novice and Juvenile Uneven Age Cross Country takes place next Sunday 1st December in Tramore Racecourse, Waterford.
Next weekend also sees the Border Half Marathon take place in Corbally and Clonlara, close to the Limerick-Clare border, many Limerick runners will take part.
The Michael Rejmer 10 mile 2025 hosted by Dooneen AC is now open for entries on Eventmaster. Early Bird entry is just €20, a new 4 and 6 mile relay category has been added and entry is €15 per person. It takes place on Sunday, April 13 at
11am from Limerick Racecourse.
The Athletics Limerick 10K takes place on St Stephen's Day at 12 noon from Caherdavin Community Centre. Entry is €15 on Eventmaster or €20 on the day.
