LIMERICK and Emerald AC athlete Sarah Lavin will take to the track again this evening, Tuesday at the 70th Cork City Sports which takes place at the the newly reopened Munster Technological University track in Bishopstown.

At 7:45pm all eyes will be on Sarah Lavin as she looks to continue her excellent recent form in the Athletics Ireland sponsored Women's 100m Hurdles. At last month's 123.ie National Senior Championships Lavin won gold in the hurdles and silver in the 100m. She will be joined in the field by four other athletes who have broken the 13 second barrier including Talie Bonds (USA) and Ebony Morrison (Liberia).

This event will act as a great stepping stone for Lavin who has her sights firmly set on the 2024 Paris Olympics which get underway at the end of the month.

Other exciting athletes competing in tonights event include Sonia O'Sullivan's daughter Sophie who will run in the 3000m race. In the same distance in the men's race ome favourite Darragh McElhinney (Bantry AC) goes in the Men's 3000m alongside Nick Griggs (Candour Track Club).

Tonights event will be live streamed on Youtube, you can watch the races here
