THE SEARCH for Ireland’s next top curvy model has begun, with Limerick women being sought to enter a model competition for Tempted, the plus-size fashion chain for women.
Entrants should be a size 16 plus, over 18 years of age, and love clothes and fashion, according to the organiser Rosemary Kearns of Tempted Boutiques.
Two of last year’s finalists were from Limerick - Kellie McCoy from Upper Carey’s Road and the winner, Sinead O’Brien, 27, from Patrickswell, who both went on to do several modelling assignments for the boutique, including stints on Ireland AM.
Sinead even went on to be signed as a plus-size model with Andrea Roche’s Dublin modelling agency, and the classically trained soprano now combines modelling with her singing career.
“Being the face of Tempted had changed so much for me personally - confidence, profile and fashionwise. I’ve done so many fun things throughout the year from location photo shoots, modelling on Ireland AM,..it’s all been amazing.”
The total prize package is worth €3,000 and includes €1,000 cash to spend in store, amongst other gifts. The competition is likely to attract 1,000 entries this year. The final will be held in May. See www.tempted.ie
