Mrs ‘Bouquet, not Bucket’ is coming to the Lime Tree Theatre in “Facing the Music” this Saturday September 12.

Patricia Routledge, better known as the snobby Hyacinth Bucket in the television series, Keeping Up Appearances, will surprise many with her performance in Limerick this weekend.

She is trained not only as an actress but also a singer - with considerable success in musical theatre.

The show ‘In conversation with Edward Seckerson’, presented by Clive Conway, shares ‘one of the best kept secrets in show business!’

“Edward is a writer and a broadcaster,” said Patricia, “His knowledge of music of every kind is enormous, and his enthusiasm is really wonderful. He is so passionate about musical theatre.

“He rang my agent a couple of years ago”, she explained, “he told him: “ it is one of the best kept secrets in show business - how much work and success Patricia Routledge had in musical theatre, would she agree to having a conversation with me and I will illustrate it with recordings of hers.”

“I had such regard from him because I knew him from radio,” said Patricia, “ I said ‘snap’ straight away.”

In this fascinating encounter with Edward she recalls this very special part of her career, with access to some rare and treasured recordings.

Tickets for ‘Facing the Music - A Life in Musical Theatre’ With Patricia Routledge cost €26 and can be bought through the Lime Tree Theatre box office.
