Late Late Show return date confirmed with Patrick Kielty following shock marriage fallout

RTÉ have confirmed the return of one of the nations best-loved programmes next month, the Late Late Show will return to our screens on Friday September 12, with host Patrick Kielty.

The show has been on it's annual summer break, but host Kielty is returning after the shock announcement that he and wife of 12 years Cat Deeley were separating.

The sad news was revealed in July, when the couple who share two kids together; Milo, seven and James five, made a joint statement,

"We have taken the decision to end our marriage and are now separated. There is no other party involved.

"We will continue to be united as loving parents to our children and would therefore kindly ask for our family privacy to be respected."

This season of the Late Late Show will also mark the 10 year anniversary of the fan favourite Country Music Special and of course the nations favourite the Late Late Toy Show.

The Late Late Show will return to RTÉ One on Friday September 12 at 9.35pm.
