Tuesday night's episode of Love Island saw Irish islanders, Conor Phillips,25, and Megan Forte Clarke, 24, loved ones make their entrance.

Phillips family members included his cousins Cian and Dara whilst for Forte Clarke it was mum Alison and her aunt Gillian.

The reunion began when both pairs of loved ones entered the villa unbeknownst to Phillips and Forte Clarke, that was until mum Alison proclaimed: “Have we got Megan in the house!?”

Upon hearing this Forte Clarke runs across the garden and jumps into her aunt Gillian’s arms.

Meanwhile Phillips greets his cousins with a hug and pat on the back.

Both groups meet separately to catch up before coming together as a group.

Phillips reminisce that Forte Clarke was the girl he was interested in prior to her initial dumping, he then joked that “it's so funny that we are all Irish”

To which his cousin Cian quipped, "You came all the way on this and still came home with a girl from Dublin.”

Phillips cousin Dara gives him an update on his mom back home in Limerick,

“Your mum was asking for you. She’s been watching every single episode.”

The news of which visibly shocked Phillips,

“Has she? She told me that she wasn’t walking so I’ve been acting like she wasn’t watching.”

During Forte Clarke’s catch up with her mother and aunt, she discusses how coming back into the villa she did not expect to reunite with Phillips as fast as they did as she still believed him to be with Shakira Khan,22.

Mum Alison commenting on that couple noted that “the attraction wasn’t there... at least not in the way that he has with you.”

Forte Clarke responded: “I’m his dream girl apparently.”

Talking with his cousins, Phillips says: “If you lined everyone up in the start I would have picked her.”

Forte Clarke then called Phillips and his family over to meet with hers for the first time, her aunt Gillian greeting Phillips with arms open.

Upon coming together, Forte Clarke’s aunt Gillian jokes: “You’ve come all the way to Love Island to meet someone Irish.”

Forte Clarke quipped it was not her intention to fall for an Irish boy to which Cian jokes,

“I’m not going all the way to Spain to find another Irish boy. 20 minutes over the road you could’ve went!”

Forte Clarkes mum expresses he delight that: “I’m happy, you look very very happy.”

Joking on his time in the villa whilst Forte Clarke was gone mum Alison joked that Phillips was “very busy”.

To which he sweetly states that “everyone has been compared to Megan.”

The visit finished with Alison welcoming Phillips to the family and a brief introduction to the other islanders.

The results of the vote for favourite couple at the end of last night’s episode will be revealed later in the week and will influence which couples make it to the grand final on Monday, August 4.

Love Island continues this Wednesday night at 9pm on Virgin Media Play and Virgin Media Two.
