Limerick duo launch a new music record label

Emily Panter will perform at the Commercial Bar on April 18

A NEW record label, SASP Records, has been launched by Limerick musicians and longtime friends, Tara Nix and Anna Murphy.
With a combined experience of over 20 years witnessing the evolution of music on local, national, and international stages, the duo are excited to bring their vision to life and empower emerging artists across genres. Driven by a passion for music and a deep understanding of the industry, Nix and Murphy are determined to create a platform that nurtures talent, fosters creativity, and connects artists with audiences worldwide.
“After years of performing and collaborating on various projects, we felt it was time to give back to the community that has supported us throughout our careers,” explained Anna Murphy.
“SASP Records is not just about releasing music; it’s about building a family of artists who can grow and thrive together,” added Tara Nix.
SASP Records aims to break down barriers for musicians in Limerick and beyond by providing comprehensive support services, including artist development, production, marketing, and distribution.

The label's focus will be on promoting diverse musical styles, enabling artists to express their unique identities, and fostering collaborations that transcend genres.
The launch of SASP Records comes at a time when the demand for new and authentic sounds is growing, both in Ireland and internationally.
By curating a roster of talented musicians from the region, the label hopes to give a nod to Limerick as a hotspot for musical innovation and creativity.
To kick off their journey, SASP Records will host an event at the Commercial Bar in Limerick on April 18 from 7pm.
The event will feature the label's first signing Emily Panter, by providing an exclusive listening party of her new EP Remember They Love You which releases that day.
