LIMERICK city centre looks set to experience a brush of Hollywood magic as filming for an Irish-American production is to begin.
A letter of notice has confirmed that a number of streets in the city centre are set to close for a period of time, from Monday, December 2, to Friday, December 6, in order to facilitate the project.
The film, titled 4 Kids Walk into a Bank, is rumoured to have Oscar award winner, and Ireland's very own, Liam Neeson in talks to lead the project, alongside a variety of new up and coming talents, such as Deacon Phillippe (son of Reece Witherspoon, and Ryan Phillippe), Whitney Peak, Talia Ryder, and more.
The adaptation, which is set in 1990s America, will see the streets of Limerick transform, complete with vintage US vehicles, to replicate the period.

Neeson, who hails from Co Antrim, will allegedly play an ex-bank robber by the name of Danny, whose teenage granddaughter, Paige, is the light of his life. When she overhears her grandfather say that his former gang is pulling him back in to pay a debt, she enlists her three best friends to rob the bank, sparing him.
The film, which will be overseen by Robbers Productions DAC, is in collaboration with Limerick City and County Council and An Garda Síochána, will involve significant road closures to accommodate the project, and to ensure that this is a safe and positive experience for the local residents, businesses, and visiting cast and crew.
The exciting project is rumoured to be directed by Frankie Shaw and is based on the graphic novel, by the same name.
In the letter of notice, it stated that on Monday, December 2, High Street will close from 8am and 4pm, with traffic management in place on Upper Denmark Street, Robert Street, Little Gerald Griffin Street, and Cornmarket Row.
This production showcases Limerick as a prime location for film productions, but nationally and internationally.
The notice concluedes by saying, "This is an exciting film to bring to Limerick, one which we hope the city is proud of when its complete."
