Irish band Fontaines D.C. nominated for two Grammy Awards

The Dublin band Fontaines D.C. have been nominated for two Grammy Awards.

The Irish rockers have been nominated for Best Rock Album for their fourth album Romance, as well as Best Alternative Music Performance for the single Starbuster

They will go head-to-head with The Black Crowes, Greenday, Isles, Pearl Jam, the Rolling Stones and Jack White at the 67th Grammy Awards.

This is the second time Fontaines D.C. have been nominated for a Grammy Award. Their second album A Hero's Death was nominated four years ago for Best Rock Album.

Fontaines D.C. are the only Irish act represented at this year's annual awards ceremony. 

The young rappers from Cork and Clare who created the viral TikTok hit The Spark had been longlisted for the 2025 Grammy Awards last month, but unfortunately Kabin Crew & Lisdoonvarna Crew missed out on nabbing a nomination.

Final Round Voting will take place from 12 December to 3 January before the the awards ceremony takes place on Sunday, 2 February at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
