An English creator has gone viral on TikTok for "not understanding" the concept of RIP.ie or Irish funerals.

Paige Copeland explained: "I am on a group trip with ten Irish people and apparently you just go to people's funerals that have died in Ireland. You don't get invited, you just go. It is being put on RIP.ie and you can just go, get free food."

The creator posted the video, saying: "In England you have to receive like a formal invitation HAHAHA but I did always wonder like the person is gone so how are other people supposed to remember everyone."

Irish users have gone wild for the discovery, one user commented under the video saying: "Invite??? To a funeral?! How do they invite you??."
