Balla woman Éadaoin Ní Mhaicín to play Electric Picnic this evening

Balla native Eadaoin Ní Mhaicín, who is currently touring with her bands LÉDA and ÉADAOIN

BALLA musician Éadaoin Ní Mhaicín is due to take the stage at Ireland's biggest music festival this evening.

Fresh from her success with Lord of the Dance in the Cork Opera House, Éadaoin Ní Mhaicín is due to play the Spike Island Stage at Electric Picnic in Laois with her band, ÉADAOIN.

She has also been touring with her band new album, Oh Honey, is currently receiving extensive airplay and has recently. been named Album of the Week on RTÉ Lyric FM.

Marty Whelan declared himself ‘bowled over’ on first hearing the newly composed music by Éadaoin and her colleague, the renowned Emily Flack from Canada.

Éadaoin also entertained the crowd at half time in the Aviva Stadium at the Aer Lingus American College Football Classic between Notre Dame and The Navy on on August 26.

An accomplished traditional Irish musician, her music features a unique fusion of various genres of trad and folk.

She will be performing with her band ÉADAOIN on the Spike Island Stage at 8.40pm, this evening (Saturday).
