Memories – 40 years – NIHE students will get degrees

UNLESS he is told otherwise, the Minister for Education accepts students at NIHE will be awarded degrees at the end of their studies. 

The Minister Richard Burke told the Dail it was up to “another body” to deliver their decisions to him after examining the whole matter. 

He was replying to Mr John Wilson, TD, Fianna Fail, the Shadow Minister for Education. Mr Wilson asked the Minister for Education when definite proposals would be published by him for the awarding of degrees at the end of the 1975-76 year.
