Aladdin set to bring panto joy to Limerick's Millennium Theatre

The show is set to run from December 27 until January 4

THE LIMERICK Panto Society is set to enchant audiences once again with its 39th annual production, and this years show, Aladdin.

The show will run from December 27 to January 4, at the Millennium Theatre, TUS.

Founded in 1985 to preserve the rich tradition of pantomime in Limerick, the Society continues to delight families each year.

This year's production of Aladdin, adapted by Tim Cusack from a script by John Finn, promises audiences a magical blend of music, laughter, and interaction.

Directed by long-time leader Tony Cusack, who marks over 40 years at the helm, the show features a stellar creative team including Lisa Hogan for choreography, Elaine Davern, the chorus mistress, and Damien O’Brien, the events set and stage manager.

Costumes, designed by Pat McGann and managed by Imelda Cusack and Sandra Finn, promise a visual feast, while a live orchestra will accompany a chorus of local talent.

Continuing their tradition of supporting local arts, the production showcases young performers from Spotlight Stage School, Expressive Arts and Gemstars.

The Society is proud to continue their commitment to charitable causes, as this year’s chosen charity is The Children’s Grief Centre.

The organisation is dedicated to supporting children and young people affected by loss through bereavement, separation, or divorce.

A special charity night will be held during the run of Aladdin, where proceeds from the charity night will go directly to the centre to support their work.

Sponsorship from The Crescent Shopping Centre, Shannon Airport, and several local businesses, alongside support from TUS, ensures a high-quality production.

With dazzling sets, memorable music, and community spirit at its core, Aladdin promises a panto experience to remember.

Early booking is advised to avoid disappointment.
