LOVE Island winner, Ekin-Su, was in Limerick this Saturday afternoon to launch her makeup line.
She went viral during the week with her mispronunciation of Limerick on social media but added that she’s “so happy to be in Limerick” and that the city is “quite pretty”.
Speaking to the Limerick Leader/Limerick Live, she said: “I’ve seen a few tweets and I was shocked, some people were really impressed, some were ‘how could she say that wrong’ and I was like, that’s how you say it down South.”
The UK-based star is on a whirlwind trip around Ireland to promote the makeup including Belfast, Dublin and Wexford and has been enjoying meeting everyone as well as the Irish cuisine.
“It’s beautiful, people are so nice and friendly, I’ve been eating snacks, Tayto’s and Dairy Milk. Dairy Milk tastes so much nicer here,” she told the Limerick Leader/Limerick Live.
The Turkish beauty was in Shaws Department Store in the Crescent Shopping Centre for a meet and greet to celebrate her collaboration with BPerfect Cosmetics.
“Ekin-Su Glow has gone viral, it sold out very quickly. I’m very proud of it because of the creamy texture, you can use it as a base or primer. I can’t emphasis how proud I am, it’s doing really well, people are very happy with the results and that’s what makes me thrive and work harder,” she explained.
Her line also includes the Fearless Face & Eye Palette, Luxury Half Lash Set, and a Mini Empress Base & Body Brush.
Hundreds of eager fans lined up in the shop to catch a glimpse of the 2022 winner of the famous dating reality show, which she won with boyfriend Davide Sancli and she welcomed the role model status.
“It means people look up to me and I’ve never changed who I am, since winning the competition I’ve never become someone I’m not, actually I’ve become more humble and I’m going to continue to be,” she chimed.
Prior to entering the villa in Mallorca, the 28 year old worked as an actress and revealed that she’s going to Los Angeles shortly for some meetings and shared her dream role: “Either a serial killer or an action woman, FBI or like Lara Croft”.
