ST Ailbes LGFA club was formed in 1995 and won a Limerick adult junior title 10 years later. By 2008 they were playing in the top grade after an intermediate championship win and progressed to win senior titles in 2011, ‘12, 19 and 2020.
This Sunday, their second team won the county Junior B Ladies Football title with a final victory over Dromcollogher-Broadford in Croom.
Team mentor Pat Ramsbottom heralded the mix of young and old in their panel and stressed that fresh talent was necessary to maintain their status as a senior club.
After captain Brid Madigan collected the winning trophy, Ramsbottom spoke to the Limerick Leader.
