Tractors, fashion and Limerick All-Ireland winning hurlers all on the agenda at the Ploughing

Attendees at the National Ploughing Championships reveal what's on their list of 'things to do'

AS DAY 2 of the National Ploughing Championships nears a conclusion, we've been asking people what's on the top of their list of things to do when at 'the Ploughing'.

More than 70,000 people flocked through the gates at Rathineska, County Laois on Tuesday and huge numbers are attending in glorious weather conditions again this Wednesday.

'Attending the O'Neill's tent' is a priority for many attending the National Ploughing Championships while others are more interested in "seeing the machinery and livestock".

One woman told our reporter Sandra Malone that she is hoping to attend some fashion shows and to "bump into some politicians" so she can tell them "how they should run the country".

A young hurling supporter revealed he was looking to meet the All-Ireland Limerick hurlers Cian Lynch and Declan Hannon who were reportedly spotted out and about earlier this Tuesday.

Another said he was looking to enjoy the day out and have a "bit of craic".

The 93rd National Ploughing Championships conclude on Thursday when it's expected the venue for next year's event will be announced.
