VIDEO: 'Shock and grief' during vigil held after family found dead in home in Louth

There is great grief and sadness in Louth as a large crowd gathers at a candlelit vigil held to honour well-known and loved family of three.

The vigil held in Louth saw a large crowd gathered around to mourn the late Mark and Louise O'Connor and their son Evan, whose bodies were found at the family's home in Louth on Monday morning last.

Hundreds of messages have been left on RIP.ie from mourners who knew and loved the family.

One mourner said: "There are no words to describe what happened this week - the shock and grief you are all experiencing is beyond comprehension. Cian, Shauna & the extended O'Connor and Doherty families, you are in everyone's thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry. The days, months and years to come will be hard to navigate - be kind to yourselves and be there for each other.

The fulfilling, kind, extraordinary & beautiful lives that Mark, Louise & Evan lived cannot be forgotten. May they rest in peace".
