LIMERICK'S four time All-Star hurler Sean Finn has returned to full-training with the squad while continuing to rehab and strengthen his previously injured cruciate ligament with physio David Grey.
The Bruff defender has been out of action since suffering the injury during Limerick's loss to Clare last April in the Munster SHC.
Finn can be seen continuing to do his plyometrics exercises with the physio in the aim of him taking the pitch again for the hurlers in the near future.
Speaking after their 1-20 to 0-17 victory over Westmeath in their second Allianz Hurling League game of 2024 earlier this month, John Kiely revealed that Finn had returned to full-training.
"Sean (Finn) returned to training and that was a huge lift to the group. To have him back is fantastic. It is going to take a while to move him through onto the next phase but he is back on the pitch and back training.
"We are trying to make sure that they are fit, healthy, well and that we can bring them to the pitch when we feel that they are ready, 100% ready."
The Limerick hurlers will now face Dublin in their third Allianz Hurling League game of the year at Croke Park on Saturday, February 24.
