WATCH: Gearoid Prendergast reacts to Young Munster's AIL loss to Cork Con

YOUNG Munster and Cork Constitution played out a stunning All-Ireland League (AIL) contest in Greenfields this Saturday afternoon with the Cork side earning a 36-26 victory.

Both sides were already assured of a top four finish and a spot in the end of season Division 1A semi-finals and produced a 10-try thriller that saw Munster's come back from 24-0 down to lead 26-24 heading into the final stages. However, Con came back to earn victory with a penalty try and a sixth effort securing the win.

Following the full time whistle, Young Munster head coach Gearoid Prendergast spoke to Leader Sport and said he was proud of what his side produced after the slow start.

Prendergast also revealed that the defeat to Con was his last game in charge of Young Munster at Tom Clifford Park as he will move to a role with the Greencore Munster Academy next season.
