UNIVERSITY of Limerick guaranteed their place in the quarter-finals of this year's Fitzgibbon Cup after defeating ATU Galway thanks to a last scoring spree at ULs Maguire's Field.
The victory means that this Wednesday afternoon's repeat of the 2024 Fitzgibbon Cup final between local rivals Mary Immaculate College and UL will decide which side advances directly to the semi-finals and which will face a quarter-final fixture. The final round group fixture takes place at Mary Immaculate College's Grounds at 2pm.
