WATCH: Kildimo-Pallaskenry senior footballer Cathal Downes: 'I really enjoy playing with the club'

Kildimo-Pallaskenry senior footballer Cathal Downes looks ahead to the opening round of the Limerick SFC

"I really enjoy playing with the club, even there the last few years it is tough when you're just coming back into it you only have maybe have a few weeks of training before your first round of championship. I'm trying to get the body right and I'm really looking forward to the championship," said Kildimo-Pallaskenry's Cathal Downes. 

Cathal Downes took a break from the Limerick senior football squad this year to focus on his club commitments with Kildimo-Pallaskenry. UL ashbourne cup manager Declan Nash has taken charge of Kildimo-Pallaskenry. Limerick senior footballers Peter Nash and Tony McCarthy will be in action for Kildimo-Pallaskenry.

Kildimo-Pallaskenry will begin their Limerick senior football championship campaign against Ballylanders on Saturday evening at 7pm in Kilmallock. 

Ahead of the opening round of the Limerick SFC, Kildimo-Pallaskenry senior footballer Cathal Downes caught up with Paul Shaughnessy of Leader Sport.
