"It's nine years since we last won the [junior football championship]. It was just huge for the parish back then. We are one of the smallest parishes in the county. We've a small pick and it's the same bunch that are playing football and hurling. It's huge for our small club" said Cappagh attacker Seamus O'Carroll.
Cappagh defeated Athea 1-8 to 0-5 in the premier junior 'A' football championship final in Askeaton on Saturday afternoon. O'Carroll scored 0-4 in Cappagh's victory.
After the game, Leader Sport caught up with Cappagh senior footballer Seamus O'Carroll.
