JOHN KIELY has named a 36 man Limerick senior hurling panel ahead of the 2026 season. Twenty clubs across the county have represented on the panel.

James Coughlan, Fionn O’Brien, Fintan Fitzgerald, Matthew Fitzgerald, and James Finn who were part of last year's Limerick U20 hurling squad have all been promoted to the senior panel. Joe Fitzgerald earns a call-up following his impressive performances with Monaleen in 2025, while John English has been rewarded for his contributions during Garryspillane’s Limerick Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship winning campaign.

Doon’s Barry Murphy is the biggest surprise omission from John Kiely’s squad. Murphy featured regularly in the 2025 season for the Shannonsiders. Dylan O’Shea Sean Casey Dara Ferland and Chris Thomas who featured in the Limerick senior hurling squad during the Munster League have also missed out on a place on the panel.

There has already been plenty of changed to the Limerick senior hurling panel with former captain Declan Hannon retiring. Seamus Flanagan, Jason Gillane, Micheál Houlihan, Fergal O'Connor and Cian Scully were released from the panel before Christmas.
