FR Casey's manager Eoin Joy was delighted to see his side reach the Limerick senior football championship semi-final for the third year in-a-row.
"We went through a bit of a barren spell, where we were getting out of the group on a regular basis but I think it was ten years in-a-row where we couldn't qualify for a semi-final. In the last three years we've reached the semi-finals, so I think that just means we are progressing as a group and maybe progressing mentality wise aswell. Everyone wants to play knockout football and we're in a semi-final and we're really happy to be there" said Fr Casey's manager Eoin Joy.
The Abbeyfeale based side defeated Na Piarsaigh 3-12 to 1-6 on Saturday evening at Rathkeale GAA club. Aidan Enright, David Ward and Eliah Riordan raised green flag for the victors.
Fr Casey's will now meet Mungret St Paul's in the Limerick SFC semi-final in two weeks time.
After the game, Leader Sport caught up with Fr Casey's manager Eoin Joy.
