GORDON Brown was delighted to see Na Piarsaigh register their first win of Limerick SFC on Thursday evening.
"It's obviously very important for us, we lost our first two games so this was a massive game for us. It was a struggle at the start. We have lot lads back now and we nearly had full compliment today. A couple lads still away but they should be back for the next game aswell. It's all upwards and onwards from here out.
We said it before the game if we win this the whole competition is open. If we win are next two games we are through to the quarter-final buit if we lose today it was looking more like relegation. It was a massive win. " said Gordon Brown after Na Piarsaigh's 2-11 to 1-11 over St Kieran's in round three of the Limerick SFC.
Brown has previously lined out for the Limerick senior footballers.
After two defeats in the Limerick SFC, Na Piarsaigh's victory has brought them back into the Championship and the Caherdavin side are now back in contention to reach the knockout stages.
Na Piarsaigh face Monaleen in round four on Thursday August 22 at 6:30pm in Rathbane.
After the game Leader sport caught up with Na Piarsaigh senior footballer Gordon Brown.
