WATCH: Mungret St Paul's 'excited' to get going in senior football championship

A SEASON of possibilities awaits the Mungret St Paul's clubs who will be competing in the Irish Wire Products Ltd County Senior Football Championship for the first time this season after successfully making their way through the intermediate ranks last year.

Mungret will face city team Na Piarsiagh in their opening round game on Friday, June 28 at 7:30pm at Claughaun GAA grounds.

Speaking at the 2024 Launch of the county senior football championship Mungret St Paul's captain John Hutton said the "whole club is excited to get going."

"I suppose everyone is excited to get going in the senior championship, it's a first time for everyone involved. We got a good test against Fr Casey's in the league and we have a tough task ahead. 2023 was an incredible year and we felt we were knocking on the door to move up to senior for quite a while so it was great for the club and it really brings us forward."
