Limerick defeated Tipperary in the preliminary quarter-final of the Tailteann Cup on a final scoreline of 1-18 to 1-10 at Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale on Saturday evening.
The victors led 1-4 to 0-8 at the break with goalkeeper Josh Ryan chipping in with two 45's in the opening period.
Jimmy Lee's side outscored Tipperary in the second half 1-10 to 0-4 with Emmett Rigter's goal on 67 minutes securing Limerick's place into the last eight of the Tailteann Cup.
The Treaty county now advance to the quarter-final of the Tailteann Cup where they will face Sligo, Fermanagh or Kildare. The draw for the quarter-finals will take place on Monday morning.
