"It was very special, 120 odd years of the club's first time getting over the line so it is very special. For a lot of the older members of the club and former players that would have put a lot of work into it through the years, great for them more than anything. As players, we have a chance to kick on over the next few years and win a few more. It is great feeling coming in as a champions this year," said Doon senior hurler Jack Ryan at the launch of the Whitebox Limerick senior hurling championship.
Doon sit on the top of the table in group one of the Limerick senior hurling championship on three points. The east Limerick club won their first ever Limerick SHC last year. The county champions played out a draw with Na Piarsaigh in round one and Doon cruised past Patrickswell in round two.
