WATCH: Thank you and Merry Christmas from all at the Limerick Leader

WHAT a year it has been. It is easy to say that we will never, ever, forget 2020.

From Leo Varadkar's speech in March, through two lockdowns and multiple waves of a virus, we have finally made it to Christmas.

It will be a festive season like no other for us all. The pandemic has touched all our lives in so many ways.

As we approach 2021, I would like to thank you all for your continued support.

To our readers, thank you for continuing to trust us here at the Limerick Leader, as your place for up-to-date, fair and balancing reporting.

To our contributors, thank you for your continued efforts to help maintain the quality of product we have been able to produce in 2020.

To our advertisers, thank you for your support in what has been a year like no other for those in business. We really appreciate it.

To the Limerick Leader staff, since 1889 the title has seen and overcome many trials and tribulations, but nothing like this. Your efforts during this year have been Herculean.  For that, I offer my heartfelt thanks.

Finally, to all, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
